Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers
A monthly stipend for the caregiver, respite care, mental health services, and CHAMPVA coverage if the caregiver has no other health insurance. The veteran needs a 70% or higher service-connected rating and a need for in-person care for at least six months. Every service era qualifies — including 1975 to 2001, open since October 2022.
