Your data stays in your browser.

The short version

• •Everything you type into a tool form — service history, conditions, symptoms, medications, VA letter text — is saved only in your own browser's storage. We do not store copies of it on our servers.
• •No account, no login, no password. The site works fully anonymously.
• •We never take a percentage of your VA back-pay or monthly award. Not now, not later.
• •You can export your whole workspace to a JSON file you own — or wipe it in one click — from your workspace.

What we send to our server (briefly)

When you run an AI tool (estimator, presumptive, secondaries, nexus, SMC, rating gap, etc.), the text in the form you just submitted is sent to our server for one purpose: to proxy the request to Anthropic's API so Claude can generate the report.

• •We do not store it. The request body is held in memory only for the duration of the call and discarded when the response finishes.
• •Anthropic may retain the request per their privacy policy for limited abuse-prevention purposes. Their retention is short and not used for model training by default.
• •Server logs record errors as plain-text messages only — never the request body. If Anthropic returns an error, we log the error message, not what you typed.
• •The PDF export endpoints render the packet server-side and return it to you. The workspace data passes through memory once and is not retained.

What lives in your browser

Your workspace — profile fields plus every snapshot you save from a tool — lives in localStorage on this device and is tied to this browser. Not the cloud. Not our database.

• •Clearing browser storage = workspace gone. Export a backup first if you care about keeping it.
• •Different browser or different device = different workspace. Use Export workspace (JSON) to move between them.
• •If you share your device, anyone with access can see your workspace. Clear it with the "Wipe everything" button when you're done.

Leads (optional email capture)

On the Rating Estimator, you can optionally save your estimate by email. If you do, we store only the email + your estimate summary (rating range, monthly dollar range, conditions list). We never sell, rent, or share email addresses. We email at most once a month. Unsubscribe anytime.

What we don't collect

• ✗Name, phone number, address, SSN, date of birth, or any identifiers required for a VA claim.
• ✗VA file number, claim ID, or any linkage to your actual VA records.
• ✗Financial information. Payments for the paid Precedent Brief go through Stripe directly — we never see your card.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics for anonymous page-view counts. No cookies, no cross-site tracking, no identifying data. We also log anonymous tool-usage events (e.g., "estimator completed") keyed to a day-rotated IP hash so we can tell if a tool is working — never to identify you.

Security posture

• •Tool inputs are validated server-side and run through a prompt-injection pre-screen before any AI call.
• •Rate limits per IP stop cost-bombing + automated abuse.
• •All traffic is HTTPS. No plaintext PII in server logs, ever.
